The club has been offered an amazing opportunity by Northumberland CC to get involved in the Blyth stage finish (Wednesday 9th Sept). The club will be organising an inter school skills competition on the finish line at the Tour before the riders finish (3.00-3.30pm). As a result the club has permission to set up our club tent in Market Square, Blyth and promote the club with leaflets/flyers to showcase the club to potential new members. It is likely to be a good event with a street velodrome set up in the Market Square for people to have a go at, as well as a number of other stalls and activities. Volunteers are required on this work day to help distribute leaflets and promote the club at our tent. Help is also required to our coaches to deliver a first class experience for the youngsters involved in the skills activities. No experience in necessary for any of the roles which include judges, assistants and time keepers (no long course necessary, just the ability to operate a stopwatch).
