Northumberland County Council have supported the good work of Barnesbury CC in developing the usage of the BMX Track at Gallagher Park, Bedlington by giving the club a petrol strimmer to use over the spring and summer to keep the grass and weeds trimmed. Stephen McIntosh (Secretary) said "Not only will our coaches keep the riders trim, but our other volunteers can now keep the track surrounds trim with this piece of kit".
The strimmer will stop encroachment onto the track and allow the club to maintain the appearance of the track as an attractive place to use throughout the year. The club are currently coaching MTB and BMX skills every Saturday at Gallagher Park. See our website or Facebook pages for further details.
