To celebrate the arrival of the biggest stage race in the world to roads in North Yorkshire on Saturday 5th July 2014, Barnesbury CC is celebrating the occasion by organising a youth stage race at Gallagher Park with hints of the big race. Taking youth riders around Gallagher Park, the event will be held on Monday 7th July, there will be prizes for the various age categories (u8, u10, u12, u14 and u16) and entry to the race will be on the night only (no need to pre enter), so all you need to do is turn up and ride (parental consent is required)!
Riders will need parental consent, £4 entry fee and a bike able to ride off road as well as a helmet. Riders will race in stages with the overall fastest time winning the event. Stages (all to be held on the night), will comprise a Hill Climb Prologue to celebrate an Alpine stage, a sprint event on grass and a mass start tarmac drag race (for each age category).
